4 Tips to Maximize your Web Project Returns

slam-dunk

Your next web project can be a slam dunk.

We’ve been making websites for a while, and it seems there are a few issues that come up a lot. So here are some quick tips that will ensure you end up with a better website and get it faster:

  1. BEFORE: Start working on your content now, even before our work gets started. Our side of things will normally take a matter of weeks. But its not unusual to see a project delayed several months because the client is slow in getting content to us. So make a folder for this project on your computer, and start collecting those photos, videos, and documents now. And if delegating some of the work is an option, make sure to take advantage of it.
  2. BEFORE: If you already know your budget, we suggest you let us know up front. Why? The logic is simple: You don’t want to be paying for stuff you don’t need, and you want to make sure you’re not overlooking something you should definitely be considering. Knowing your budget gives us a better understanding of your project and it allows us to make recommendations tailored to your specific needs.
  3. BEFORE: It seems that while a lot of primary decision makers are very confident in their ability to lead their organization, many are a whole lot less comfortable when it comes to technology. If that describes you, don’t worry. Let us know up front, and then unleash us to make you successful. We spend a lot of time studying how people think online, have years of experience putting it into practice, and have a step-by-step process to make sure the things that are important to your success are the things that get done.
  4. AFTER: At some point you’ll be getting a completed design or website from us that will need your feedback. You’ll probably want to ask people around you for their feedback. Everybody and their mother’s cousin will have their own personal take. So don’t sweat the small stuff about font sizes or shades of mauve, but do pay particular attention to any comments that relate to how well the design meets your visitors’ needs and how well it meets your own business goals.

Follow these tips and you’ll not only be giving us what we need to make sure your website is successful, you’ll be maximizing the results you get once it launches.
